3D Printed Studs
Introduction
I am embarking on a new journey to explore what I can do with my 3D printer to embellish my upcycled clothing. I’m starting with the basics and then moving on to 3D printed textiles.
The Design
Before designing anything, its always a good idea to see if someone has already created the object you wish to make. When I searched Makerworld, I found Cosplay Threaded Spikes & Studs – 2 Sizes 4 Styles and Scalable Threaded Stud.Â
Therefore, I would need to design most of what I wanted to use. I did have an idea for a Camo jacket that has pink star studs, so I decided I would create star studs. Luckily, Tinkercad has a 5 pointed star object.

To create the screw hole at the bottom, I borrowed the screw from Cosplay Threaded Spikes & Studs – 2 Sizes 4 Styles, turned it into a hole and grouped it with the star.
I went on to make a few other variations as well.
