This latest project utilises an R.M. Williams tweed jacket ($500 retail new) that I purchased from an opportunity (thrift or charity) shop. Many of the tweeds that I have salvaged have textures that remind me of rock or stone, so my mind went to petroglyphs, as something I could apply to them and give them new life. All the rock art images have been felted directly onto the jacket, rather than stitched.
Most materials have been re-cycled, where available. For example, instead of buying wool roving, I sourced discarded wool yarn and made my own wool batts.
This Jacket is hand-made by me and one of a kind; you will not find another.
